"Jimmie has a really good eye. Great attention to detail, very thorough, excellent report and takes his time to explain everything. He's been a tradesman in many of the fields he inspects so knows what he is talking about. It's just plain foolish to not have a home your going to throw a pile of money at inspected. It's just as foolish to "bargain hunt" to save a few bucks. With this being said, his price was very reasonable and even came in under the other person my real estate agent initially suggested. "Jimmie does a very good, detailed inspection. When you are going over things with him afterwards, you feel at ease and he doesn't 'talk over your head' if you have a question. The quality of his finished report is excellent. Including things like where the water and gas shut offs are is greatly appreciated. You don't think about things like that until it's too late and now I know a lot more about the house I purchased and it makes me more comfortable. Jimmie is easy to talk to and calls you when the report is ready and offers to answer any questions you may have thought of. He took the time to explain the purpose of a radon test (which I am having) and makes sure you know why he suggests some things be done right away. "I was very impressed with how thorough you were with the inspection, and the detail that you went into in telling us what would be entailed in fixing the issues that were found. At the end of the inspection we asked you for an overview of how you felt about the house overall, and I was certainly glad to hear you say that in spite of all of the small issues that were found that you felt like it was a good house. I don't know if this is something that you normally do, but if not I would recommend that you do. As a prospective buyer, even though I knew that all of the things that you were pointing out were minor, the shear number of issues can get a little overwhelming and I was beginning to wonder about the overall soundness of the home. When you summed it all up and reminded us that all of the things that were mentioned were very minor, inexpensive defects it made me feel better about the possibility of owning this home."
